The Turn ~A Book Tour Review~

By Rebecca Hill

Good day, dear readers! I know it is rare to get back to back blogs from me, but surprise! I am bringing another book to you, that I think you will enjoy. The Turn by Marissa Vanskike is out now, and a perfect evening mystery. This is the third book in a series, and each book was fun to read. I fully suggest reading them all.

Rating: 4/5

Available: Kindle, Paperback, Hardcover

Goodreads Blurb:

It’s said that time heals all wounds. But Emily knows that in a small town like Lincoln, California, time only makes them fester…

Emily Sutton has been running for six years. Running from a small town that labeled her a villain. Running from a family that is no longer whole. And, most of all, running from the whispers of her son’s horrible accident. But when her ex-husband threatens to sell their house in Lincoln, CA, Emily knows she can’t run anymore. With her teenage daughter in tow, Emily returns to Lincoln and confronts the disdain of the community that she once loved. She knows that a small town like Lincoln never forgets, and one simple lie has a way of taking on a life of its own.

When someone tries to run Emily out of town, she begins to suspect it may be the same person who knows the truth about what happened to her family that fateful day six years ago. But this time, Emily Sutton won’t run. Not until she gets justice for her son. Not until Lincoln learns what Emily knows. What she’s always known.

What happened on Moore Road six years ago wasn’t an accident.

My Review:

Honestly, this was hard to put down. As a mother, I felt a connection with Emily, knowing that if something happened to one of my sons, I would not move on either. She tries to move on, but can’t. When the sale of the house seems imminent, she returns, hoping that she can find some peace, and maybe some answers.

This book was full of suspense, and I was not wanting to put the book down. Adulting is hard, when all you want to do is read. But as I read more, the more I wanted to know. The characters were wonderful, and you can feel the emotion on the pages. The Turn is one book that you should read soon.
